Just two short months ago we went to my mother's funeral. My father has had a difficult time getting accustomed to being alone in his home. Thanks goodness for my siblings who are close by and keep a close watch on him as well as my own children, Liana and Jacob. Then we got the news that Isi's mother was not doing well. So he went to see her and spent her last hours there in Los Angeles. Many of the family flew in to spend time with her although she was really too weak and couldn't even open her eyes. She passed away and so we all went up the next weekend to her funeral. She was a great lady and was a great example for all of us. The grandchildren adore her and especially Robert who lived with her for a while after we left Tonga. Liana, Joel and Jacob were able to be at the funeral but Robert was still in Korea. He really felt bad for having missed both of his grandmother's funerals. It is hard serving your country and keeping the peace. We tried to send him all the pictures so he could feel what it was like. Mother's Day this year was quite difficult with both of our mothers gone to the other side.
Joel and Meilani moved to Waipio Gentry. Anna and Eryn seem very excited to be in their new home. Tomorrow is Anna's graduation from pre-school and we will finally find out who is the new BYU Hawaii President. Isi is on a trip to New Zealand and Tonga. We are so excited to have Rob, Abi and family here in a couple of weeks.
